How to Play
Goal: The aim of the game is to create words on the board using tiles that are available to you. Scoring is determined by the value of the tile used and the type of square upon which it has been placed.
Placing Tiles: The board is adorned with tiles, either vertically or horizontally. In order to be valid, at least one of the tiles must be adjacent to an already placed tile on the board. However, for the very first move, the tile must instead cross over the center of the board.
Bonus Tiles: The squares on the game board marked as bonus modify the points earned by a player for a move in different ways. The score for a tile placed on a DL (double letter) square is multiplied by two, while it is multiplied by three if placed on a TL (triple letter) square. Placing a tile on a DW (double word) square results in doubling the score of the word that crosses it, while a TW (triple word) square triples the score. It's important to note that the letter multipliers are applied first, followed by the word multipliers. Additionally, if a player successfully uses all seven tiles, they will be awarded 50 extra points.
Blank Tiles: Besides the standard tiles, players can draw blank tiles from the tile bag. When put on the game board, these tiles can be allotted a letter but possess no point value.
Swapping Tiles: In lieu of playing a word on the board, a player can opt to swap one or multiple tiles with tiles from the tile bag. It will only be allowed if the tile bag contains at least the number of tiles requested to be swapped.
Passing: If a player is unable to create fresh words using their accessible tiles, they have the option to give up their turn to their opponent. If three passes happen consecutively, the game will be over.
Conclusion: The game ends either when one of the players has used all their tiles, the tile bag has no more tiles remaining, or when three consecutive passes occur.
Final Points: Points from each player's remaining tiles are subtracted from their total points. The player with the highest final score will be declared the winner of the game.
Game Modes
Solo Play: Play against 1–3 computer-controlled opponents. Solo games are a great way to practice, experiment with new strategies, and improve your word game skills at your own pace.
Online Multiplayer: Challenge other players online through skill-based matchmaking. Games are turn-based, so you can play whenever it is convenient and keep multiple games active at the same time.
Pass & Play: Play locally with 2–4 players on a single device. Pass & Play is perfect for family game nights, travel, or situations where everyone is together in the same room.
Points Meter
The Points Meter provides instant feedback on the strength of your move. After making a play, the meter compares your score to the best available move that could have been made from your rack.
The goal of the Points Meter is not to tell you what to play, but to help you develop stronger instincts over time. A move that scores close to the best possible play is generally a strong move, while a lower rating may indicate that a better opportunity was available.
Wizard Rewind
Wizard Rewind helps you learn from completed moves. After playing a word, you can rewind the position and review some of the strongest plays that were available from your rack before your move was made.
Wizard Rewind is designed as a learning tool rather than a solving tool. Not every possible play is shown, encouraging players to discover patterns, hooks, and opportunities for themselves while still receiving helpful feedback.
